Sound effects for media productions

Creating immersive worlds and characterful impacts through rich sound effects

MY PASSION

Sound has always been a big part of my life. At the age of 6 I was fascinated by rhythm and already knew, that drums would become my instrument of choice. Later, when I was given a Darth Vader action figure with an integrated lightsaber sound effect, I spent most of time listening to the sound by constantly turning the lightsaber on and off. Since then, I knew I had a special connection to audio. Together with my strong enthusiasm for films and games, the road for my journey as a Sound Designer for audiovisual media was set.

MY APPROACH

Sometimes a certain scene in a movie or a game especially moves us. When narrative, audio and visual match perfectly together in harmony, they form a unity, which can deeply resonate with us on a personal level. Therefore it is my goal to create an audio experience, that supports the narrative and perfectly aligns with the visual aesthetics, immersing the audience into the world and thus provides a cohesive and emotional experience.

SOUND DESIGN

Creating sound effects, ambiences and everyday sounds

Sound isn’t just some noise in the background. It is a major part of the overall experience. Sound can also take the lead and tell a story of its own beyond the capabilities of the visuals or dialogue. The additional sonic layer enriches the narrative storytelling, creating an immersive, convincing and vivid world for the audience.

GAME AUDIO

Audio Implementation into Game Engines

In contrast to linear media, sound in games is generated during runtime. Therefore a dynamic playback system, that responds to the gameplay in real time is necessary. It emphasizes the sounds relevant to the player and their current gameplay while reducing other distracting sounds, thus creating an individual audio mix on the fly.
