If you live in Leipzig, you will come into contact with Johann Sebastian Bach in one way or another. Be it Bach's music, which can be heard at the entrance and exit of the main train station, the Notenspure, which takes you through Leipzig's musical past, St. Thomas Church as Bach's place of work, or simply the Bach Museum. The Bach Festival also takes place every summer.
During the festival musicians from all over the world come together to play Bach's music in front of an international audience. The documentary "Living Bach" accompanied amateur musicians and singers from six different continents during their preparations for the Bachfest 2022 and their performances on site in Leipzig.
As a sound designer living in Leipzig, it was a special honor for me to contribute the sound design for such a locally important film. The documentary has its cinema release today.
